Care Assistant

We are proud to present an exciting opportunity for a Senior Care Assistant at one of our partner Care homes. We have various openings around the UK for Care Assistance in our wide range of care homes and health care practices.

Role Highlights:

Provide leadership and support for care staff, championing residents’ safety and dignity.
Act as a role model for good clinical and care governance practises.
Clinical Excellence:

Maintain skills and knowledge in accordance with the latest guidelines and best practise evidence.
Supervise care staff on a daily basis and through formal supervision processes.
Safety and Record Keeping:

Ensure ongoing safety through systematic assessment and monitoring processes.
Maintain clear and accurate records and communication systems related to clinical and care delivery.
Collaboration and Communication:

Liaise with GPs and other health professionals to ensure residents receive medical and clinical support.
Act as a liaison between Team Leaders, care staff, and healthcare professionals.
Main Tasks: Nursing Care, Monitoring, and Record Keeping

Care and Well-being:

Assist with personal care tasks and provide emotional support to residents and their families.
Support nurses during medication rounds and other clinical procedures.
Facilitate the settling of new residents into the nursing care home.
Monitoring and Record Keeping:

Keep care plans up-to-date and ensure compliance with data protection policies.
Report changes in residents’ conditions or general welfare promptly.
Food and Nutrition:

Ensure residents’ meals are nutritious and served with care.
Assist residents in selecting and ordering meals, and help with eating and drinking.
Domestic Care Home Assistance:

Maintain high standards of tidiness, hygiene, and cleanliness.
Assist with bed changes, laundry, and disposal of clinical waste.
General Responsibilities:

Attend staff meetings, supervision, and appraisal meetings.
Follow agreed procedures in respect of residents’ property and finances.
Stay updated with Fire Regulations, Health & Safety procedures, and manual handling protocols.
Skills & Experience:

Previous experience in a similar role is preferable.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to carry out instructions accurately.
Flexibility and reliability in working arrangements.
Commitment to customer care and service provision.
Adaptable, friendly, polite, courteous, and caring.
